No referral is needed unless you are submitting to extended health benefits, some insurances require a doctor’s note from your physician.

Depending on the severity of the issue, the practitioner will discuss a treatment plan with you during your initial assessment. The first few weeks it is typically recommended to come in 2x/week. After that, your practitioner will reassess to determine if going down to 1x/week is best.

Yes, we are able to provide direct billing to most insurance plans. These include but are not limited to: Manulife, Sunlife, Greenshield, Canada Life, and Blue cross. We recommend that you check your insurance package prior to making an appointment to make sure direct billing is available and the services you require are included within your benefits plan.

During your first appointment the practitioner you are seeing will perform an assessment to get a better understanding of your issues and concerns. They will then provide you a treatment plan as well as a diagnosis. A treatment is included within the same appointment.

Initial assessments range from 45 minutes to 1 hour. Majority of follow up appointments range from 30 to 45 minutes. For Massage Therapy, a 60 minute initial assessment is recommended. Follow up appointments can range from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on your treatment plan and preferences.

Wear something comfortable that you can move well in. If you have a lower body issue, shorts are recommended.

Chiropractic treatments are very helpful in helping people with a variety of concerns. We work on every muscle in the body and can address a wide range of issues, not just low back and neck. We offer everything from orthotics to compression socks to custom bracing and supplements. If you need a referral for an x-ray or to a physician, we can provide those as well.

Nope! At EHP our team of practitioners use a variety of different treatment techniques besides adjustments such as Active Release Technique (ART), exercise rehab, deep tissue work, laser, shockwave, and acupuncture. These techniques all help you get you back to feeling your best! We always work within your comfort level and preferences.

Nope! An adjustment is a realignment of your joints. The cracking or popping noise we hear is the release of nitrogen gas pressure within the fluid filled space of the joints.
